The Book of the Green Mile, is one of Stephen King’s best-known books. Although I watched the film a long time ago, the novel contains people and guards who will be executed only in Old Sparky (the execution seat) in Cold Mountain prison, which brings to mind the people and events in the film after reading it. In the book, the narrator is Paul Edgecombe, things change after a burly man named John arrives in prison accused of killing 2 children. Although John is a big man, there is something childish and special about him.
